Rich Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie: Best No Bake Dessert

  • Author: Miranda
  • Total Time: 4 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

A rich, creamy, no-bake chocolate peanut butter pie with a crunchy graham cracker crust, silky peanut butter filling, and smooth chocolate ganache topping. This crowd-pleasing dessert is easy to make, make-ahead friendly, and requires no oven.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Crust:
  • 20 squares (200g) graham crackers (original honey)
  • 6 tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons (25g) granulated sugar
  • For the Peanut Butter Filling:
  • 8 ounces (225g) full-fat brick cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup (250g) creamy peanut butter (e.g., Jif or Skippy)
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Chocolate Topping:
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream, cold
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup (50g) crushed roasted and salted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Make the Crust: Crush graham crackers into fine crumbs. Mix with melted butter and sugar until it resembles wet sand. Press firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Chill in the fridge.
  2. Whip the Peanut Butter Filling: Beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add peanut butter and powdered sugar, beating until combined and smooth. Mix in vanilla extract. Spread filling into the chilled crust and return to the fridge for at least 30 minutes to set.
  3. Make the Chocolate Topping: Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until it just starts to simmer. Pour hot cream over chocolate chips in a heat-proof bowl and let sit for 2 minutes. Whisk slowly until smooth and glossy.
  4. Assemble and Chill: Pour warm chocolate ganache over the chilled peanut butter layer and spread evenly. Sprinkle crushed peanuts over the top while the chocolate is wet. Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before slicing.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps. Do not overwhip the cream for the ganache; just heat and whisk. Chill between layers to prevent mixing. Use a sharp, hot knife for clean slices. Do not freeze this pie as the texture may become grainy.
