Description
A quick, homemade version of the popular Starbucks drink featuring thick, spiced pumpkin cream foam poured over cold brew coffee. Ready in just five minutes with customizable sweetness.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy whipping cream, cold
- 1 tablespoon (15g) 100% pure pumpkin puree
- 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 teaspoons granulated sugar (or substitute)
- 1–2 cups (240–480 ml) cold brew coffee
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Pour cold heavy whipping cream into a small mixing bowl or measuring cup.
- Add pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and sugar to the cream.
- Whisk vigorously using a mini whisk or milk frother for 60-90 seconds until the mixture thickens and holds soft peaks. Do not over-whip.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour cold brew coffee over the ice, leaving space at the top.
- Slowly pour the pumpkin foam over the back of an inverted spoon to layer it on top of the coffee.
- Garnish with a pinch of extra pumpkin pie spice and serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure all ingredients, especially the cream, are very cold to achieve stiff peaks. The foam is best served immediately as it will deflate if stored. For a dairy-free version, use full-fat coconut cream and maple syrup instead of sugar.
