Description
A refreshing, velvety smoothie made with frozen mango and peaches, Greek yogurt, and a hint of lemon. It’s a quick, protein-packed drink that uses overripe fruit for maximum flavor and texture.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup frozen mango chunks (150g)
- 1 large fresh or frozen peach, pitted and sliced (about 150g)
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (120g)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened milk of choice (120ml)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup ice cubes (only if using fresh fruit)
Instructions
- If using fresh peaches, wash, pit, slice, and freeze for 30 minutes. If using frozen fruit, take out of freezer.
- Pour milk into the blender first to help the blades spin freely.
- Add Greek yogurt, honey, and lemon juice to the blender.
- Add frozen mango chunks and peaches on top. Add ice cubes last if using fresh fruit.
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high. Blend for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with more honey or tartness with more lemon juice if needed.
- Pour into a glass and serve immediately. Garnish with a peach slice or mint if desired.
Notes
Frozen fruit is key for a thick, ice-cream-like consistency without watering it down with ice. If using fresh fruit, freeze it beforehand. The lemon juice brightens the flavor and prevents oxidation. This smoothie is best consumed immediately but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours; shake well before drinking.
